An independent Catholic secondary school for girls in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs is seeking a passionate and innovative art and product design teacher to join its vibrant, future-focused learning community.

This full-time ongoing position offers the opportunity to:
Teach visual arts and product design across Years 7–12
Deliver practical, creative and design-focused lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum (Visual Arts, Design & Technologies – Materials & Product Design)
Guide students in developing design thinking, problem-solving and hands-on making skills
Collaborate with a supportive and experienced arts and technology team
Foster an inclusive studio environment that encourages self-expression, creativity and student voice
Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school, including exhibitions and showcases
The ideal candidate will be:
VIT registered (or eligible)
Skilled in teaching visual arts and/or product design, including drawing, mixed media, materials, basic workshop processes and digital design
Passionate about empowering young women in creative and design-based learning
Committed to the values and ethos of Catholic education
Able to build strong rapport with students and promote both wellbeing and artistic growth
Reflective, collaborative and committed to ongoing professional development
