About the Role
The school is seeking a qualified Art Creative Practice Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term basis, commencing as soon as possible and concluding on 28 August 2026.

The position is available as a 0.8 part-time load, with the school open to making the role full-time by adding additional classes/extras for the right candidate.

The teaching load includes:

• 1 x Unit 3 & 4 VCE Art Creative Practice class
• 1 x Unit 1 & 2 VCE Art Creative Practice class
• 1 x Year 10 Creative Practice class
• 2 x Year 8 Art classes

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Art Creative Practice lessons across Years 8–12
• Teach and support VCE Art Creative Practice students at Units 1–4 level
• Guide students through creative processes, artistic development, and assessment requirements
• Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment
• Support students in developing technical skills, creativity, and critical thinking
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and development
• Contribute to the wider school community

This role would suit an experienced Art educator with confidence teaching VCE Art Creative Practice, particularly at Year 12 level.

Requirements

• Secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach, PGCE or equivalent)
• VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
• Experience teaching Art Creative Practice
• Ability to teach VCE Art Creative Practice (Units 1–4)
• Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and VCE requirements
• Ability to engage and inspire students across Years 8–12
• Commitment to student learning and wellbeing
• Two professional child-related referees
