About the Role
The school is seeking a qualified Secondary Chemistry Teacher to join their team on a full-time, ongoing basis, commencing in Term 4, 2026.

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching VCE Chemistry (desirable) and Science across Years 7–10
• Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging, and differentiated lessons
• Supporting students in developing scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Preparing students for assessments and examinations in line with curriculum requirements
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment
• Contributing to faculty planning, moderation, and curriculum development
• Participating in school activities and the broader college community

This role would suit an educator with a strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and a passion for Science education.

Location: Melbourne, VIC (Western Suburbs – Footscray / Sunshine)

Requirements

• Secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach, PGCE or equivalent)
• VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
• Experience teaching Chemistry and lower secondary Science
• Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum (VCE experience advantageous)
• Ability to engage and inspire students across a range of year levels
• Commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing
• Two professional child-related referees
