The Role The Dean of Students (Years 7–10) provides leadership in student wellbeing, pastoral care and behaviour management across the middle years. Working closely with the Deputy Principal – Wellbeing and Administration, the Dean plays a key role in ensuring every student is known, valued and supported.
This position includes a small teaching load. The College would ideally welcome candidates with the ability and willingness to teach English and/or Humanities (experience in these subject areas is welcomed but not essential).
The Ideal Candidate Will
Be a qualified secondary teacher with QCT registration (or eligibility)
Have experience in student wellbeing, pastoral leadership or middle leadership roles
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and restorative practice skills
Show the ability to lead strategically while maintaining positive, visible presence with students
Be confident analysing student wellbeing and academic data to inform support strategies
Communicate effectively with students, staff and families
Contribute to whole-school initiatives and professional learning
Have the capacity and willingness to teach English and/or Humanities
