The Drama Teacher Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Drama teacher to join our dedicated team starting Term 3, 2026. In this role, you will:

  • Teach Drama to Years 7–12, delivering both theoretical and practical components.
  • Lead engaging and dynamic lessons that explore various drama techniques, performance styles, and media.
  • Foster creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking in students.
  • Support project-based learning through performance productions, assessments, and class activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, cross-curricular projects, and school events.
  • Create a supportive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment that encourages student growth and self-expression.

Key Drama Teacher requirements

  • VIT registration or eligibility to teach in Victoria.
  • Relevant teaching qualification in Drama, Theatre Arts, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of drama theory, performance techniques, and classroom management.
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills, and passion for teaching.
  • Ability to inspire and support students in their creative development.
