Role overview We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to deliver engaging programs across senior secondary and vocational levels.
The successful candidate will:
Teach Economics, Business, Accounting, and Cert III Business (BSB) in line with the Australian Curriculum and VET requirements
Prepare students for assessments, examinations, and practical applications in business and finance
Develop creative and differentiated learning experiences that challenge and engage students
Contribute to co-curricular and extra-curricular programs, including industry-linked projects and student enterprises
Support students’ personal, social, and academic growth within a collaborative school environment
This role is ideal for a teacher passionate about equipping students with practical financial literacy, analytical skills, and workplace-ready competencies.
Key responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, student-centred lessons in Economics, Business, Accounting, and Cert III Business (BSB)
Develop curriculum-aligned units of work fostering analytical, financial, and entrepreneurial skills
Support students with assessment preparation, project work, and practical applications
Use school data to inform teaching strategies and differentiate learning
Participate in school initiatives, events, and community programs
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a high-performing and supportive learning environment
Requirements
Relevant teacher registration in Queensland or eligibility for registration
Experience teaching Economics, Business, Accounting, and/or VET courses at secondary level
Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment, and senior certification requirements
Ability to inspire students and create an engaging and inclusive classroom
Commitment to contributing positively to school life, extra-curricular programs, and community engagement
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
