About the English Teacher (Years 7–12) The College is seeking a passionate and committed English Teacher to join their team from Term 1, 2026. The successful candidate will teach English across Years 7–10, with the ability to teach VCE English or Literature being highly desirable.
Key responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Victorian Curriculum
Teach VCE English and/or Literature (Units 1–4) based on experience and expertise
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for literature, writing and critical thinking
Contribute to faculty planning, assessment moderation and whole-school initiatives
build positive relationships with students, families and staff
About you, the English teacher: The ideal candidate will: Hold VIT registration (or be in the final stages of application) Be qualified to teach English to secondary students (Years 7–10; VCE English an advantage) Demonstrate a passion for literature, language and student learning Have strong behaviour management and communication skills Be committed to collaborative teaching, wellbeing and continuous professional development
