ENGLISH TEACHER

Prospero Teaching is excited to support a well-regarded independent school in Regional Victoria to recruit a passionate and dedicated English Teacher for a full-time, ongoing role starting Term 1, 2026. Position: English Teacher – Middle School (Years 7–9, Levels 2–4 English)
Type: Full-time, ongoing
Department: English
Class sizes: Small groups of 15–20 students
Focus: English and Intervention English, with explicit introduction and targeted support to raise student attainment
Interventions can take many forms, including:
Small group work: Students with similar needs are grouped for targeted instruction
Individual tutoring: One-on-one support from the teacher
Specialized programs: Designed to address specific learning difficulties, such as dyslexia or ADHD
Behavioral interventions: Support for students with social or emotional challenges
Assistive technology: Tools and resources to help students with disabilities access learning
Hold relevant primary or secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed. or M.Teach – English)
Registered, or eligible for registration, with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
Experience teaching middle school English and/or intervention programs
Committed to raising student attainment and differentiating instruction
Collaborative and student-focused; first aid qualification or willingness to obtain
Fully furnished accommodation arranged for incoming teachers
