About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science / Mathematics Teacher to join the school community from January 2027.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, high-quality Science and Mathematics programs across secondary year levels, inspiring students to develop curiosity, analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver curriculum programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, while supporting students with a range of abilities and learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Science and Mathematics lessons across secondary year levels.
- Develop curriculum programs that cater to diverse student abilities and learning needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and achievement.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
- Use a range of teaching strategies to encourage curiosity, critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Differentiate learning to support individual student needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
- Participate in professional development, school activities and the wider school community.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent qualification.
- Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration.
- Ability to teach Science and Mathematics at secondary level.
- Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and assessment practices.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate teaching to meet diverse student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to creating a supportive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Desirable
- Experience teaching Science and Mathematics across Years 7–12.
- Ability to teach senior secondary Science and/or Mathematics.
- Experience contributing to extracurricular activities or enrichment programs.
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
