About the Role

We are seeking a full-time Food Technology Teacher to join the school on a fixed-term contract until the end of the academic year.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging Food Technology and practical cooking lessons
  • Planning and implementing curriculum-aligned learning programs
  • Managing a safe and well-organised food technology classroom environment
  • Teaching practical kitchen skills, nutrition, and food safety principles
  • Supporting student engagement through hands-on, real-world learning experiences
  • Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback
  • Contributing to the wider school community and faculty collaboration

This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and confident graduates with strong practical Food Technology knowledge.


Location: Northern Suburbs, Melbourne

Requirements

  • Relevant teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach or equivalent)
  • VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
  • Ability to teach Food Technology / Hospitality / related subjects
  • Strong classroom management and practical teaching skills
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education
  • Two professional child-related referees from most recent employer
