Prospero Teaching is working in partnership with a large and inclusive regional secondary college in East Gippsland to appoint a passionate and dedicated Food Technology Teacher commencing April 2026.

As a Food Technology Teacher, you will:
Teach Food Technology across Years 7–10
Potentially teach senior Food Studies (VCE) depending on experience
Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons incorporating nutrition, food science, and practical cookery skills
Maintain safe food handling standards and effective kitchen management
Differentiate learning to meet diverse student needs
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and innovation
Contribute to whole-school initiatives, extracurricular programs, and professional learning

Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration (or eligibility)
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Technology, Food Studies, Home Economics, or Education
Sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum
Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
A collaborative and student-focused approach
Commitment to ongoing professional growth
