About the Food Technology Teaching Role

We are seeking a Food Technology teacher who:

  • Demonstrates strong pedagogical and content knowledge in Food Technology across Years 7–12

  • Uses explicit instruction, practical activities, and formative assessment to guide student learning

  • Differentiates learning to support students of all abilities, including EAL and culturally diverse learners

  • Integrates technology and hands-on, project-based strategies to enhance engagement and real-world application

  • Embodies a growth mindset and commitment to professional learning

Promotes a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment

Food Technology teacher requirements?

 
  • Relevant teaching qualifications in Food Technology

  • VIT registration (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Understanding of inclusive education and compliance with relevant legislation
