About the French teaching role:
An independent co-educational school in Perth’s eastern suburbs is seeking an engaging and passionate French teacher to join their Languages Department from Term 1, 2026.
This role will involve teaching French from Kindergarten through to Year 8, nurturing early language acquisition and cultural appreciation through creative and interactive teaching. The ideal educator will bring energy, innovation, and a strong commitment to developing students’ confidence and communication skills in French.
Experience or familiarity with the AIM (Accelerative Integrated Method) developed by Wendy Maxwell will be highly regarded.
Key responsibilities for a French teaching role:
Teach French across K–8, adapting lessons for varying age groups and proficiency levels.
Design engaging, student-centred programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
Incorporate drama, music, and movement to support immersive language learning (AIM methodology encouraged).
Foster cultural awareness and enthusiasm for French language and Francophone cultures.
Participate in co-curricular and pastoral programs as part of the wider school community.
About you as a French teacher:
Current or eligible registration with the Teacher Registration Board of WA (TRBWA).
Recognised teaching qualification with a Languages or French specialisation.
Experience teaching primary or lower secondary French (K–8).
Knowledge or experience using the AIM Method (Wendy Maxwell) desirable.
Passionate about student engagement, global learning, and inclusive education.
