Your Role & Responsibilities
As a French Teacher, you will play a vital role in inspiring students through engaging, student-focused lessons that ignite a passion for language and cultural understanding.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching French across Years 7–12, including VCE curriculum subjects where applicable
  • Designing innovative lessons that incorporate real-world contexts and cultural aspects of the French-speaking world
  • Contributing to curriculum planning, assessment development, and reporting processes
  • Supporting extracurricular activities, language clubs, or cultural events related to French
  • Providing pastoral care to support students' social and emotional wellbeing within a collaborative team environment

Who you are
Whether you’re a recent graduate or an experienced educator, your enthusiasm and dedication will make you a valuable addition to our team. To succeed, you will need:

  • A secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, or M.Teach) with a focus on languages or equivalent
  • Eligibility for, or willingness to apply for, Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Experience or interest in teaching French to junior and/or senior students
  • Two professional referees who can speak to your teaching ability and character
