About the role

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Secondary Science Teacher to teach General Science across Years 7–10 at one of our partner independent schools in South-West Sydney.

Science teacher key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging General Science lessons across Years 7-10
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the NESA Science syllabus
• Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback
• Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues
• Contribute to faculty planning and the wider school community

What we're looking for

• Current NESA registration (Conditional, Provisional or Proficient)
• Relevant Secondary Teaching qualification
• Experience teaching General Science across Years 7-10
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff
• Commitment to student wellbeing and positive learning outcomes
