Position: 0.6, term 1 contract
Prospero Teaching is seeking a
passionate and dedicated Secondary Science Teacher who is comfortable teaching general science to join a thriving all boys, government school in southern Sydney. A
selective, high-performing government boys’ secondary school with a long-standing reputation for academic excellence and a srong focus on
STEM and technical education, with students who are highly motivated and engaged in learning

Key Science teacher responsibilities: - Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Science across secondary year groups
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development
- Work collaboratively with teams of educators to maintain a positive classroom and school culture
- Integrate educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes
Science teachers key skills and experience: - Demonstrated high pedagogical standards and effective communication with students
- Ability to fulfil classroom responsibilities with professionalism, efficiency, and dedication
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Requirements: - Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification in Science
- NESA accreditation and valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in a secondary school setting (preferred)
- DET (required)
- Two professional references, including your most recent employer
