Prospero Teaching are proud to be partnering with a highly regarded independent, co-educational school in Sydney's inner city to appoint a passionate Early Childhood Educator for German for an ASAP start, with the position continuing throughout 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse and internationally minded school community with a strong emphasis on language learning, cultural understanding, and early years development. The successful educator will support young children to develop their confidence and German language skills through engaging, play-based and age-appropriate learning experiences.
The opportunity
Working within a collaborative Early Learning team, you will:
- Support the delivery of engaging German language learning experiences for young children
- Encourage German language development through play, conversation, stories, songs, games, and everyday interactions
- Create a warm, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel confident experimenting with language
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and linguistic development
- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences
- Foster children's curiosity about German language and culture
- Observe and document children's learning, development, and progress
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Work collaboratively with educators and teaching staff to support individual learning needs
- Contribute to the wider life and culture of the school community
About you
You are an enthusiastic and nurturing Early Childhood Educator who:
- Holds a recognised Early Childhood Education qualification
- Has strong proficiency in German
- Has experience working with children in an early childhood or early learning environment
- Is passionate about language learning and early childhood development
- Understands play-based and child-centred approaches to learning
- Can create engaging experiences that encourage children to develop confidence in German
- Demonstrates excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Creates a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for young learners
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a professional educational team
- Is available to commence ASAP and continue throughout 2027
