The opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and visionary educational leader to guide a high-performing English Faculty and further strengthen an already outstanding academic program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership and management of the English Faculty
- Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of innovative English programs across Years 7–12
- Driving excellence in teaching, learning, and academic outcomes
- Mentoring and supporting faculty staff through coaching, collaboration, and professional development
- Overseeing curriculum planning, assessment, reporting, and compliance requirements
- Analysing student performance data to inform teaching practice and continuous improvement
- Promoting a culture of high expectations, intellectual curiosity, and academic achievement
- Contributing to the broader leadership and strategic direction of the school
- Participating actively in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school
About you
You are an inspiring educational leader who:
- Holds recognised secondary teaching qualifications
- Is NESA accredited (or eligible for accreditation)
- Has substantial experience teaching English across secondary year levels, including Stage 6
- Demonstrates proven leadership experience within a faculty or curriculum leadership role
- Has a strong understanding of curriculum development and contemporary pedagogical practices
- Possesses excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Is passionate about fostering a culture of academic excellence and student engagement
- Thrives in a collaborative and high-performing educational environment
- Is committed to ongoing professional learning and leadership development
