About the school
Prospero Teaching is partnered with an independent faith-based, co-educational school in the Mackay region seeking a dynamic Head of Languages Faculty to lead its Languages Department. The school caters to approximately 1,000 students, offers boarding from Years 5–12, and is known for its strong academic standards, supportive community, and commitment to holistic student development in a values-driven environment.

About the role
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for the Languages Faculty while teaching French across secondary year levels. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to shape language learning programs and foster cultural engagement.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Languages Faculty, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes
• Teach French in alignment with the Australian Curriculum
• Mentor and support language teachers in professional growth
• Develop and implement innovative language programs and cultural initiatives
• Uphold the ethos and values of an Anglican independent school

The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 2 years of leadership experience in an educational setting
• Qualification to teach French (secondary level)
• QCT registration (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to student wellbeing and academic excellence
