Prospero Teaching is partnering with a highly regarded independent Christian school in Melbourne to appoint a Head of Sport for a permanent position commencing Term 1, 2026.
This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee and grow the school’s sporting program within a faith-based, values-driven environment. The successful applicant will lead a committed team, foster a strong sporting culture, and ensure students are provided with opportunities to participate, compete, and excel in a wide range of sporting pursuits.
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the school’s sports program
Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of all sporting activities and interschool competitions
Build pathways for student engagement, talent development, and high-level performance
Manage and mentor sports staff and coaches
Uphold the school’s Christian ethos through sport and community involvement
Actively promote student wellbeing, teamwork, and school spirit through sport
Recognised teaching qualification and current/pending VIT registration
Proven experience in sport coordination, leadership, or similar role
Strong organisational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
A practising Christian committed to supporting the school’s Christian mission and values
Experience fostering student engagement and achievement through sport
