Prospero Teaching are proud to be partnering with one of Sydney’s most prestigious independent boys’ schools to appoint an outstanding History or Geography Teacher for a full-time permanent position commencing Term 3, 2026.
This leading K–12 day and boarding school educates approximately 1,400 students and is renowned for its academic excellence, exceptional pastoral care, and commitment to developing well-rounded young men through a balance of academic rigour, innovation, leadership, and co-curricular opportunities.
The opportunity
Join a high-performing and collaborative Humanities Faculty where you will:
- Teach engaging History and/or Geography across Years 7–12 (depending on your experience and specialism)
- Inspire students through dynamic, inquiry-based learning and critical thinking
- Deliver high-quality lessons that encourage curiosity, analysis, and a strong understanding of historical and geographical concepts
- Contribute to a culture of academic excellence and high expectations
- Work collaboratively with an experienced and supportive team of educators
- Participate in the wider life of the school through pastoral and co-curricular programs
About you
You are a passionate and dedicated Humanities teacher who:
- Holds relevant secondary teaching qualifications
- Is NESA accredited (or eligible for accreditation)
- Has experience teaching History and/or Geography
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and the ability to engage motivated learners
- Is committed to achieving outstanding educational outcomes
- Thrives in a collaborative, professional, and high-performing environment
