Prospero Teaching Australia is partnering with a dynamic and community-focused secondary school in the Darwin region to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Secondary HPE Teacher for an immediate start. The school is seeking a passionate HPE educator who will:
Deliver engaging and practical Health & Physical Education programs to secondary students.
Promote active participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.
Plan and implement curriculum-aligned lessons that cater to a range of learning needs.
Contribute to the school’s sporting programs, carnivals, and extracurricular activities.
Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Teach high-quality HPE lessons across secondary year levels.
Develop engaging units that foster physical skills, health knowledge, and personal development.
Contribute to whole-school wellbeing and sporting initiatives.
Participate in school events, interschool sports, and community engagement activities.
Collaborate with the HPE faculty and broader teaching team.
Qualified and registered teacher (or eligible for NT teacher registration).
Experience teaching HPE at secondary level.
Strong practical skills across a range of sports and physical activities.
Ability to teach both theoretical and practical components confidently.
Commitment to inclusive, student-centred, and culturally responsive practice.
Willingness to contribute to extracurricular programs and the wider school community.
