Prospero Teaching are proud to be partnering with a well-established Islamic K–12 school in Western Sydney to appoint a passionate and dedicated HSIE Teacher for a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027.

The opportunity

Join a collaborative and supportive Humanities Faculty where you will:

• Teach HSIE subjects across Years 7-12, including History, Geography, Commerce, Business Studies, Legal Studies, and/or Studies of Religion, depending on your experience
• Deliver engaging and inquiry-based lessons that encourage critical thinking and analysis
• Inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of society, culture, history, and global issues
• Create inclusive and stimulating learning environments that support student success
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement
• Contribute to curriculum development and faculty initiatives
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
• Participate in the wider life of the school through pastoral care and co-curricular activities

About you

You are a passionate educator who:

• Holds recognised secondary teaching qualifications
• Is NESA accredited (or eligible for accreditation)
• Has experience teaching HSIE subjects within a secondary setting
• Demonstrates excellent classroom management and student engagement skills
• Is committed to achieving outstanding educational outcomes for all students
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Works effectively within a collaborative and professional team environment
• Brings enthusiasm, initiative, and a genuine passion for Humanities education
• Is supportive of and able to contribute to the values and ethos of an Islamic educational setting
