About the Role
The school is seeking a qualified Secondary Humanities Teacher to join their team on a full-time, fixed-term basis, commencing in Term 1, 2027, covering a maternity leave position throughout 2027.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Humanities across Years 7–12
  • Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across subjects such as History, Geography, and related disciplines
  • Planning and implementing differentiated learning to support a diverse range of learners
  • Supporting students in developing critical thinking, research, and analytical skills
  • Preparing students for assessments in line with curriculum requirements
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment
  • Contributing to faculty planning, moderation, and curriculum development
  • Participating in school activities and the broader college community

This role would suit an educator with experience teaching Humanities across secondary levels, ideally with a background in History.

Location: Melbourne, VIC (South-Eastern Suburbs)

Requirements

  • Secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach, PGCE or equivalent)
  • VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience teaching Humanities across secondary year levels
  • Background in History (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum
  • Ability to engage and inspire students across a range of abilities
  • Commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing
  • Two professional child-related referees
