Learning Diversity Leader Northern Suburbs, Melbourne Start: Term 3 or by negotiation Full-Time | Ongoing | Position of Leadership (Level 3)
Prospero Teaching is excited to be recruiting for a Learning Diversity Leader on behalf of a leading co-educational Catholic secondary school located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. This is a wonderful opportunity for a passionate educator and experienced inclusion leader to join a values-driven, student-centred school community. The Learning Diversity Leader role: This position supports the development and delivery of inclusive programs for students with additional learning needs across either Years 7–9 or 10–12 (based on experience and preference). Working alongside a second Learning Diversity Leader and a well-established support team, you will lead the implementation of Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs), oversee NCCD processes, and guide a team of Learning Support Officers (LSOs) and specialist teachers. Key responsibilities:
Lead the development and review of PLPs and support plans
Convene PSGs and collaborate with families and external providers
Oversee data collection and reporting for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)
Guide classroom teachers in differentiation and inclusive classroom practices
Design and coordinate intervention programs (literacy, numeracy, social skills)
Supervise LSOs and support their ongoing professional development
Collaborate across learning and pastoral teams to ensure inclusive education is embedded across the school
About Learning Diversity Leader you:
Current VIT registration
Relevant teaching qualifications
Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working with students with disabilities, learning difficulties, and diverse learning needs
Knowledge of inclusive education legislation, the Disability Standards for Education, and the NCCD
Excellent leadership, organisation, and communication skills
Experience supervising support staff and/or leading inclusive programs
Highly regarded:
Accreditation to teach Religious Education
Experience with trauma-informed practices, EAL/D learners, or behaviour support
Prior experience in a school leadership or coordination role
