Prospero Teaching is partnering with a highly regarded secondary school in Melbourne’s inner east to recruit an experienced and dedicated Learning Diversity Teacher for a 2026 commencement. The school is seeking a practitioner with expertise in supporting diverse learners across Years 7–12 and a passion for fostering an inclusive and responsive learning environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE LEARNING DIVERSITY TEACHER (YEARS 7–12)

In this position, you will support students with varied learning needs by collaborating with teaching teams, wellbeing staff, and external specialists.
Key responsibilities include:

• Providing targeted support to students with diverse or additional learning needs
• Designing, implementing, and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Supporting teachers with differentiation, adjustments, and curriculum access
• Conducting observations and contributing to the development of learning profiles
• Implementing evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring
• Communicating effectively with families to strengthen school–home partnerships
• Contributing to whole-school strategies and initiatives that promote inclusion

You will be working within a well-resourced learning support department with strong structures already in place.

LEARNING DIVERSITY TEACHER (YEARS 7–12) REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A recognised teaching qualification
• VIT registration (Full or Provisional)
• Experience in Learning Support, Learning Diversity, or Inclusive Education
• Strong understanding of differentiation and intervention frameworks
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
• A current CV outlining relevant experience
