Prospero Teaching is partnering with a highly regarded primary school in Melbourne’s inner east to recruit an experienced and dedicated Learning Diversity Teacher for a 2026 commencement. The school is seeking a practitioner with expertise in supporting diverse learners across Years prep –6 and a passion for fostering an inclusive and responsive learning environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE LEARNING DIVERSITY TEACHER years prep - 6

In this position, you will support students with varied learning needs by collaborating with teaching teams, wellbeing staff, and external specialists.
Key responsibilities include:

• Providing targeted support to students with diverse or additional learning needs
• Designing, implementing, and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
• Supporting teachers with differentiation, adjustments, and curriculum access
• Conducting observations and contributing to the development of learning profiles
• Implementing evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring
• Communicating effectively with families to strengthen school–home partnerships
• Contributing to whole-school strategies and initiatives that promote inclusion

You will be working within a well-resourced learning support department with strong structures already in place.

LEARNING DIVERSITY TEACHER (YEARS p - 6) REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A recognised teaching qualification
• VIT registration (Full or Provisional)
• Experience in Learning Support, Learning Diversity, or Inclusive Education
• Strong understanding of differentiation and intervention frameworks
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
• A current CV outlining relevant experience
