The Learning Support Officer Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Learning Support Officer to work within a Year 3/4 learning environment, supporting students with a range of educational, behavioural, and wellbeing needs.
The successful candidate will:
Provide one-to-one and small group learning support to students.
Assist students in accessing classroom learning activities and curriculum content.
Support students requiring additional assistance with literacy and numeracy development.
Work closely with classroom teachers to implement individual learning plans and adjustments.
Assist students who require movement breaks, sensory supports, or engagement strategies throughout the school day.
Support students with social-emotional development and positive participation in learning.
Build positive and trusting relationships with students, staff, and families.
Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Key Learning Support Officer Requirements
Previous experience as a Learning Support Officer, Integration Aide, Education Support Officer, Teacher Aide, or similar role.
Experience supporting students with diverse learning, behavioural, or additional needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Patient, flexible, and student-centred approach.
Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain).
