Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Mathematics Teacher capable of teaching General Mathematics and Mathematical Methods at the senior secondary level.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons in General Mathematics and Mathematical Methods

  • Support students in developing strong analytical, problem‑solving, and mathematical reasoning skills

  • Prepare senior students for internal and external assessment requirements

  • Create differentiated learning experiences that cater to diverse abilities

  • Contribute to the broader life of the college, including co‑curricular and pastoral programs

  • Work collaboratively within a high-performing Mathematics faculty

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach General Mathematics and Mathematical Methods in line with QCAA requirements

  • Develop high-quality units of work and assessment tasks

  • Use data to inform teaching practice and support student progress

  • Participate in school events, staff development, and community initiatives

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture

Requirements

  • Current Queensland teacher registration or eligibility to obtain registration

  • Experience teaching senior Mathematics, including General and/or Methods

  • Strong understanding of QCAA curriculum and assessment

  • Ability to build rapport with students and inspire confidence in Mathematics

  • Commitment to professional growth and collaborative practice

  • Willingness to contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school
