The opportunity
As a member of the Mathematics Faculty, you will:
- Teach Mathematics across Years 7–12, depending on experience and expertise
- Deliver engaging and differentiated learning programs aligned with the NSW Curriculum
- Develop students' mathematical reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and academic achievement
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement
- Support students in their preparation for senior Mathematics courses and examinations
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment, and faculty initiatives
- Utilise data-informed teaching practices to improve student outcomes
- Contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school
About you
The successful candidate will:
- Hold recognised secondary teaching qualifications
- Be NESA accredited (or eligible for accreditation)
- Have experience teaching Mathematics across secondary year levels
- Demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective classroom management skills
- Be committed to achieving positive educational outcomes for all students
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Work effectively within a collaborative and professional team environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
- Support and contribute to the Catholic ethos and values of the school
