The Opportunity

As a Music Teacher, you will join a supportive teaching team and contribute to engaging, high-quality Music programs across the school.

The role may include:

  • Teaching Music across the secondary years

  • Planning and delivering engaging, creative and inclusive Music lessons

  • Developing students' practical musicianship, theoretical knowledge and performance skills

  • Encouraging students to develop confidence, creativity and self-expression through Music

  • Supporting individual and ensemble performance opportunities

  • Contributing to school concerts, performances and wider musical activities

  • Developing differentiated learning programs to meet a diverse range of student abilities

  • Supporting students to achieve strong academic and creative outcomes

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and the broader school community

  • Contributing to the school's co-curricular and wider school programs

  • Supporting the school's focus on student wellbeing and positive behaviour

About You

We are seeking a passionate and committed Music Teacher who:

  • Holds relevant teaching qualifications and is VIT registered or eligible for registration

  • Has appropriate Music teaching methods and qualifications

  • Has the ability to teach Music across the secondary years

  • Is confident delivering both practical and theoretical Music programs

  • Demonstrates strong classroom management and student engagement skills

  • Creates structured, engaging and inclusive learning environments

  • Is enthusiastic about developing students' musical interests and talents

  • Works effectively as part of a collaborative teaching team

  • Is committed to student wellbeing and positive educational outcomes

  • Is enthusiastic about contributing to a regional school community

Regional Recruitment Incentive

This position has a Regional Recruitment Incentive (RRI) attached.

Salary & Conditions

Salary will be in accordance with the Victorian Government Schools Agreement and will be dependent on experience and classification.
