Prospero Teaching are partnering with a Victorian Government specialist school provides individualised education for students aged 5–18 with intellectual disabilities.
We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration (or eligibility). This role involves delivering individualised therapy across primary and secondary levels, supporting students with sensory processing, fine motor skills, self-care, and communication development. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement therapy aligned with each student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) or Personalised Learning Plan (PLP).
Ideal Candidate
- BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA Registration (or eligibility)
- Experience in occupational therapy, particularly with students who have intellectual disabilities or special education needs
- Skilled in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and PLPs
- Knowledgeable in sensory processing, fine motor skills development, and daily living skills
- Proficient in behaviour support strategies and classroom management
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
