Prospero Teaching is currently seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to join a small, close-knit Jewish primary school in Victoria.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary teacher who enjoys working with boys and is looking for a meaningful part-time role within a supportive and values-driven school community.

The Opportunity

The successful teacher will work with male primary students across the primary years, supporting their academic, social, emotional, and development.

The school has small classes, with one class at each year level, allowing teachers to know their students well, build strong relationships, and provide individual attention and support.

The role involves the typical range of primary classroom responsibilities, including supporting different learning needs, managing classroom behaviour, differentiating learning, building student confidence, and working collaboratively with students, families, and colleagues.

This opportunity would suit an experienced primary teacher who is confident working independently, demonstrates sound professional judgement, and enjoys working in a small-school environment.

Position Details

• Primary Teacher
• Part-time across several days per week
• Approximately 11:30am – 5:00pm
• Some Fridays may have an earlier 3:00pm finish
• Starting salary to be confirmed
• Remuneration expected to be well above the applicable award
• Small classes with one class at each year level

About You

The ideal candidate will:

• Have solid experience teaching in a primary school setting
• Be confident and capable working with primary-aged boys
• Have strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
• Be comfortable managing the everyday academic, behavioural, and developmental needs of students
• Be able to differentiate learning and respond to individual student needs
• Bring maturity, initiative, flexibility, and sound professional judgement
• Be committed to student wellbeing and character development
• Have a strong connection to and understanding of the Jewish community
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
• Be comfortable working within a small and close-knit school environment
