SECONDARY TEACHING OPPORTUNITY – PHYSICS TEACHER

Prospero Teaching is working with a highly regarded independent school in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs to recruit a passionate and experienced Physics Teacher for an immediate start in Term 3, 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking Science department within a well-resourced school community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Position: VCE Physics Teacher (Units 1–4), with the potential to teach Years 7–10 General Science
Type: Full‑time, ongoing or fixed-term contract
Start Date: Term 3, 2025 – immediate start required
Location: Eastern Suburbs, VIC
Department: Science

THE IDEAL PHYSICS WILL:

• Hold a relevant secondary teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed. or M.Teach – Science/Physics)
• Be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Have experience teaching VCE Physics in a secondary school setting
• Demonstrate expertise in Physics curriculum delivery, SAC preparation, and laboratory safety
• Be collaborative, adaptable, and committed to inquiry-based learning
• Hold a current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
