Prospero Teaching is partnering with a well-regarded P–9 college in Melbourne’s western suburbs to recruit a passionate and creative Primary Arts / Music Teacher. About the Role

The school is seeking a qualified Primary Arts / Music Teacher to join their team with a structured and varied teaching load.

Teaching load includes:

  • 8 hours of Music teaching
  • 9 hours of Visual Arts
  • 4 hours of classroom teaching (Year 2)

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering engaging Music and Visual Arts lessons across primary year levels
  • Planning creative and differentiated learning experiences
  • Supporting students in developing artistic skills, confidence, and self-expression
  • Teaching a Year 2 class for a portion of the week
  • Creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
  • Contributing to school events, performances, and wider community activities

Location: Melbourne, VIC (Western Suburbs – Tarneit)

Requirements

  • Primary teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach or equivalent)
  • VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
  • Experience or strong interest in teaching Music and Visual Arts
  • Ability to engage and inspire students through creative learning
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and inclusive education
  • Two professional child-related referees from most recent employer
