Prospero Teaching is proud to be partnering with a respected Catholic secondary college in the Ipswich region to appoint a dedicated Religious Education Teacher for a fixed-term maternity leave contract, commencing in Term 3 or Term 4, 2026.
Initially offered through to the end of Term 1, 2027, this position presents the exciting possibility of extending throughout the remainder of 2027.

The Opportunity Join a supportive Secondary team where you will:
Teach Religious Education across secondary year levels
Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage reflection, inquiry, and understanding
Foster a respectful and inclusive learning environment
Support students' academic, personal, and spiritual growth
Monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning, assessment, and reporting
Contribute positively to the pastoral and co-curricular life of the college
Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
About You You are a passionate and committed educator who:
Holds relevant secondary teaching qualifications
Is QCT registered (or eligible for registration)
Has experience teaching Religious Education or related Humanities subjects
Demonstrates strong classroom management and student engagement skills
Is committed to supporting the values and mission of a faith-based school
Builds strong relationships with students and colleagues
Brings enthusiasm, professionalism, and a student-centred approach to teaching and learning
