About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Robotics and Computing Teacher to join the school community from January 2027.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging Robotics, Computing and Digital Technologies programs across secondary year levels. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who enjoys technology, innovation and hands-on learning and is passionate about preparing students for the future.

You will encourage students to develop their computational thinking, problem-solving, creativity and digital literacy skills through practical and engaging learning experiences.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and deliver curriculum programs aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, while supporting students with a range of abilities and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Robotics, Computing and Digital Technologies lessons.
  • Develop practical, hands-on learning experiences that encourage innovation and problem-solving.
  • Teach students computational thinking, coding, programming and digital technologies.
  • Support students to develop robotics and technology-based projects.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and creativity.
  • Assess and monitor student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
  • Differentiate learning to support individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development, school activities and the wider school community.

Essential Criteria

  • Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent qualification.
  • Current VIT registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Ability to teach Computing, Digital Technologies and/or Robotics at secondary level.
  • Strong understanding of digital technologies and contemporary technology-based learning.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaging and practical learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to creating a supportive, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Desirable

  • Experience teaching Robotics, Computing or Digital Technologies across Years 7–12.
  • Experience with coding, programming, robotics platforms or STEM-based learning.
  • Experience developing technology, robotics or coding projects.
  • Experience contributing to extracurricular STEM, robotics or technology programs.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
