Prospero Teaching is supporting a number of high-performing government and independent secondary schools across Melbourne’s metropolitan region, who are seeking qualified Science teachers for casual/relief teaching roles starting Term 3.
Whether you're newly graduated, recently arrived in Australia, or looking for flexibility in your schedule – this is a great way to build experience and gain exposure to a range of schools.
You’ll join the school on a casual daily basis to deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons across Years 7–10 (some VCE opportunities may also arise), depending on your background.
Key responsibilities may include:
Teaching General Science in line with the Victorian Curriculum
Managing classroom behaviour and promoting student engagement
Following set lesson plans or creating your own if required
Contributing positively to school communities on a short-term basis
We're looking for Science teachers who are:
Confident delivering Science across Years 7–10 (Biology, Chemistry or Physics experience is a plus)
Enthusiastic, reliable, and flexible with availability
Hold full VIT registration (or pending for recent grads)
Eligible to work in Australia (working holiday, PR, citizenship, etc.)
Able to hit the ground running in a variety of schools
