Prospero Teaching is working with a respected independent Christian school in Melbourne that is seeking a qualified and values-aligned Science Teacher to commence in Term 1, 2026. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to teach in a faith-based environment where both academic achievement and spiritual growth are nurtured.
This is a permanent role, and the campus location (either in Melbourne’s Western or South-Eastern suburbs) will be confirmed based on staffing needs and applicant suitability.
Teach Science across Years 7 to 12, with the ability to deliver VCE Chemistry, Biology or Physics highly regarded
Develop engaging, differentiated lesson plans that reflect Christian values and curriculum goals
Actively contribute to school life and foster strong relationships with students, families and staff
Participate in school events, meetings and professional development opportunities
Recognised teaching qualifications in Science
Current or pending registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
A practising Christian with a commitment to upholding the school’s Christian ethos
Previous experience teaching at secondary level preferred, including VCE
Work within a supportive and values-driven school community
Flexibility with full-time or part-time arrangements
Ongoing professional development and mentoring
Represented and supported throughout the process by Prospero Teaching
