Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract
Prospero Teaching are partnered with a fantastic, an independent all girls school seeking an enthusiastic, highly capable Biology Teacher for a full-time, fixed-term role commencing in Term 4, 2025. This position offers the opportunity to teach Science from Years 7–10 and VCE Biology, in a supportive and forward-thinking academic environment.

As a key member of the Science Faculty, you will:
✔ Deliver engaging, evidence-based lessons in Science (Years 7–10) and VCE Biology
✔ Create a classroom environment that promotes curiosity, critical thinking, and academic achievement
✔ Use data to inform teaching practice and differentiate for a range of learning needs
✔ Support students pastorally and uphold the school’s values and expectations
✔ Collaborate closely with faculty colleagues and contribute to co-curricular and pastoral programs
You are an excellent classroom practitioner who:
Has confidence in teaching all levels of VCE Biology
Is committed to high standards of curriculum planning and assessment
Builds strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
Demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and adaptability
Is proficient in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning
Understands and complies with child safety obligations
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Science/Biology and Secondary Teaching
Current VIT registration
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Understanding of child safe standards
Proven track record of excellence in the teaching of Biology
A passion for fostering success and engagement in girls
