About the role

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Arabic Language Teacher for a permanent full-time position at one of our partner schools in Sydney's Inner South-West, commencing in Term 3.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and well-established Islamic faith co-educational K–12 school committed to academic excellence, student wellbeing, and the holistic development of every learner. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Arabic language lessons to students in Years 7–12, inspire a love of language learning, and contribute positively to the wider school community.

Located in Sydney's Inner South-West, the school is easily accessible from surrounding suburbs and offers a collaborative teaching environment with a diverse and multicultural student population.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Arabic language lessons to students in Years 7–12
• Plan, prepare and assess lessons in accordance with the relevant curriculum and school policies
• Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment that supports student engagement and achievement
• Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Promote students' understanding of Arabic language, culture and communication skills
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the broader life of the school

What we're looking for

• Current NESA registration (Conditional, Provisional or Proficient)
• Relevant secondary teaching qualification recognised in NSW
• Experience teaching Arabic Language across secondary year levels
• Strong classroom management and effective communication skills
• A passion for language education and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
• Commitment to student wellbeing and positive learning outcomes
• Experience working within an Islamic school setting is advantageous but not essential
