About the Role: As a Secondary Industrial Design & Technology Teacher, you will inspire students to explore design thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on innovation through practical and theory-based learning. You’ll encourage creativity, craftsmanship, and confidence in working with materials, tools, and digital technologies. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, practical lessons in Design & Technologies, focusing on design principles, engineering processes, and safe workshop practices.
Support students in Years 7–12 to develop their technical skills, creativity, and design capability.
Integrate real-world problem-solving and project-based learning into classroom activities.
Maintain a safe, well-organised, and inclusive workshop environment.
Contribute to the school’s co-curricular and pastoral care programs.
Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum and assessment practices.
Model and uphold the Christian ethos of the College.
The Ideal Candidate:
Holds a Bachelor of Education (Secondary) or equivalent, with QCT registration (or eligibility).
Qualified and experienced in teaching Design & Technologies / Industrial Technology / Engineering / Graphics / Woodwork / Metalwork (depending on specialisation).
Passionate about fostering creativity, innovation, and practical problem-solving in young people.
Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
Open to both graduate and experienced teachers.
Reflective, collaborative, and committed to ongoing professional growth.
