Prospero Teaching is delighted to collaborate with a leading independent girls’ school in Melbourne seeking an engaging and reflective Senior School Humanities (Philosophy) Teacher for a 2026 appointment.

As a Senior School Humanities (Philosophy) Teacher, you will:
Deliver inspiring and intellectually challenging lessons in Philosophy and Humanities across Years 7–12.
Use contemporary educational research to inform your practice and promote critical and creative thinking.
Differentiate learning and use data to inform planning and assessment.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Provide pastoral care and support to students, modelling the school’s values and high expectations.
Actively contribute to the wider school community through co-curricular programs, camps, and events.
You are a skilled educator who:
Holds relevant qualifications in Philosophy and Secondary Teaching.
Has experience teaching Philosophy or related Humanities subjects at a senior level.
Demonstrates exemplary classroom practice and curriculum knowledge.
Uses ICT effectively to enhance student learning.
Builds positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
Reflects on and continuously improves professional practice.
Complies with Child Safe Standards and upholds the values of inclusivity and respect.
Bachelor’s degree in Humanities or Philosophy, and a teaching qualification.
Current VIT registration (or eligibility).
Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications (or willingness to obtain).
Proven success fostering student engagement and academic growth.
