Prospero Teaching is proud to be partnering with a specialist secondary college supporting disengaged and at‑risk learners to appoint a committed Senior Science Teacher for a full‑time role commencing in Term 3.
This Years 7–12 independent school provides a supportive, trauma‑informed, and flexible learning environment designed to re‑engage students in education. Staff work collaboratively to deliver accessible, hands‑on learning experiences that build confidence and success.
The Opportunity Join a supportive and multidisciplinary teaching team where you will:
Teach Senior Science across Years 10, 11, and 12
Deliver engaging, practical and scaffolded lessons
Support students through individualised learning plans
Build strong relationships through trauma‑informed practice
Work closely with youth workers, counsellors, and wellbeing staff
Contribute to a culture of safety, belonging, and positive behaviour support
Help students achieve QCE pathways through accessible and meaningful learning
About You You are a calm, relational, and resilient Senior Science educator who:
Holds relevant teaching qualifications
Is QCT registered (or eligible)
Has experience teaching Senior Science (any discipline)
Demonstrates strong differentiation and behaviour‑support strategies
Thrives in a flexible, wellbeing‑centred school environment
Values teamwork, communication, and student advocacy
Is passionate about supporting vulnerable and disengaged learners
