Prospero Teaching is proud to be partnering with a welcoming and community-focused government primary school in the Northern Territory to appoint a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a 12-month contract commencing Term 1, 2027.

The Opportunity Join a supportive specialist education team where you will:
Teach within a dedicated Autism class supporting students with diverse learning needs
Develop and implement individualised learning programs tailored to student goals
Create structured, engaging, and evidence-based learning experiences
Support students with high behavioural and additional learning needs
Foster positive relationships and social-emotional development
Work collaboratively with teacher assistants, families, leadership, and external support services
Monitor student progress and contribute to individual education plans and reporting processes
Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students
About You You are a passionate and resilient educator who:
Holds recognised teaching qualifications
Is registered with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory (or eligible)
Has experience working within Special Education, Autism programs, or inclusive education settings
Demonstrates strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Understands differentiated learning and trauma-informed practices
Is committed to supporting students with complex learning and behavioural needs
Values collaboration, communication, and student-centred education
