We are working with a highly regarded P–12 Victorian Government specialist school in Melbourne’s western suburbs, supporting students aged 5–18 with intellectual disability.

The school is looking for dedicated teachers to join its supportive and collaborative team ASAP.

The Role

As a Special Education Teacher, you will:

• Develop and deliver individualised learning programs
• Plan engaging and differentiated lessons
• Teach literacy, numeracy and other curriculum areas
• Support communication, wellbeing and personal development
• Build student independence and self-management skills
• Use explicit and evidence-based teaching strategies
• Support positive behaviour
• Work closely with Education Support staff and allied-health professionals
• Monitor and celebrate individual student progress
• Connect learning to real-world experiences
• Support students with community access, vocational learning and future pathways
