Prospero Teaching is seeking a highly experienced and strategic educational leader to take on a Senior Staff & Student Enhancement role, driving whole-school initiatives to improve teaching quality, professional development, and student outcomes across a diverse school community. This is a senior leadership position with a significant influence on school culture, staff capability, and student enrichment programs.
This senior leadership role focuses on strategic staff development and student enhancement, spanning primary and secondary levels, with an emphasis on high school teaching.
Key Senior Leadership, Staff & Student Enhancement Role, Sydney Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and coach teachers across the school to improve classroom practice and lesson delivery
Develop and implement whole-school professional development programs
Observe lessons, review planning and resources, and provide strategic guidance for improvement
Foster innovation, effective classroom management, and high standards of teaching across the school
Support career growth and succession planning for teaching staff
Provide strategic oversight of co-curricular programs and enrichment initiatives
Lead programs in public speaking, debating, and other student engagement activities
Mentor students to maximise academic, social, and personal outcomes
Promote a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing learning environment
Influence school-wide initiatives to enhance student engagement and achievement
Teaching load: 0.3–0.4 FTE classroom component
Scope: Primary and Secondary (ideally high school)
Proven senior leadership experience in schools, including mentoring, staff development, and strategic planning
Strong track record in teacher enhancement programs and professional development initiatives
Skilled in student enrichment, co-curricular leadership, and public speaking programs
Comfortable working alongside accreditation processes without full responsibility
NSW teaching experience is desirable but not essential
Committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing school culture
Demonstrated strategic thinking, planning, and change-management capabilities
Lead school-wide initiatives that shape teaching excellence and student outcomes
Influence strategic direction and professional culture across the school
