The opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists within a highly regarded Technology and Applied Studies Faculty for a passionate and skilled teacher to join a collaborative and high-performing team.

In this role, you will:

• Teach Technology and Applied Studies across Stages 4-6
• Deliver engaging and practical learning experiences in workshop environments
• Teach Stage 6 Industrial Technology Timber and/or Metal, or develop into these subject areas with appropriate support and mentoring
• Foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical proficiency in students
• Maintain high standards of workshop safety and best practice
• Contribute to curriculum development and faculty initiatives
• Support students to achieve excellence in both practical and theoretical components of their courses
• Participate in the wider life of the school through pastoral care and co-curricular programs

About you

You are a passionate and dedicated TAS educator who:

• Holds recognised secondary teaching qualifications
• Is NESA accredited (or eligible for accreditation)
• Has workshop skills and experience within a TAS setting
• Has experience teaching Stage 6 Industrial Technology Timber and/or Metal, or possesses a strong workshop background and a willingness to develop in these areas
• Demonstrates excellent classroom and workshop management skills
• Maintains a strong commitment to student safety and wellbeing
• Builds positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families
• Thrives within a collaborative, professional, and high-performing environment
• Is committed to ongoing professional learning and development
