The opportunity
Join a collaborative and forward-thinking TAS Faculty where you will:
- Teach Design and Technology across secondary year levels
- Deliver engaging and practical learning experiences aligned with the NSW Curriculum
- Foster creativity, innovation, and design thinking in students
- Support students in developing skills in research, design processes, prototyping, production, and evaluation
- Encourage students to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to real-world challenges
- Prepare and support students undertaking major design projects
- Contribute to curriculum development and faculty initiatives
- Maintain safe and effective learning environments within workshop and design spaces
- Participate in the wider life of the school through pastoral and co-curricular programs
About you
You are a passionate and dedicated TAS educator who:
- Holds recognised secondary teaching qualifications
- Is NESA accredited (or eligible for accreditation)
- Has experience teaching Design and Technology within a secondary setting
- Demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge and contemporary teaching practices
- Has experience working within practical learning environments and workshop settings
- Can engage and inspire students to think creatively and work collaboratively
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Is committed to achieving outstanding educational outcomes
- Values collaboration and contributes positively to a professional team culture
