About the role

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Secondary TAS Teacher at one of our partner schools in South-West Sydney.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to join a supportive and growing school community. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Technology and Applied Studies lessons, support student learning, and contribute positively to the wider school environment.

The school is located in South-West Sydney, a short drive from Liverpool, and is easily accessible from surrounding suburbs including Liverpool, Fairfield, Hoxton Park, and Casula.

TAS Teacher key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) lessons across secondary year levels
• Follow curriculum programs and school policies
• Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Support student engagement, learning, and practical skill development
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community
• Maintain safe workshop and classroom practices in line with WHS requirements

What We're Looking For

• Current NESA registration (Conditional, Provisional, or Proficient)
• Relevant Secondary Teaching qualification
• Experience teaching TAS subjects (e.g. Design & Technology, Industrial Technology, Timber, Engineering, Food Technology, Textiles or related disciplines)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to quickly build rapport with students and staff
• Commitment to student wellbeing and positive learning outcomes
